Hey hey, we're doing it again.

I know it's short notice! But we figure, since we're going to be in Colorado for much of February (skiing, hanging out with the fam, booking weddings and shit), we might as well hold one of our extremely popular The f Stops Now workshops in Denver.

Once again, this is THE no bullshit workshop. We're not here to "inspire" you or "motivate" you or blow smoke up your ass. We're here to tell you real deal about how to make your images better and the dos and don'ts for thriving in a very crowded marketplace. Learn lighting, posing, post production and some smart business ideas all for the low, low price of $595/person.

We've selected the delightfully charming Curtis Hotel as our venue, right in downtown Denver. Breakfast and lunch (and promotional consideration) are provided by our wonderful sponsors: BigFolio, ShootQ, ProDPI, and the Digital Wedding Forum. Also, best recognize the sponsors are giving out over $450 in free swag, so it's practically free! Visit ThefStopsNow.com for the syllabus and full details, and we hope to see you there!

xoxo,

M&K

Hey hey, only two short weeks until we head out to sunny southern California for The f Stops Now: Los Angeles workshop with our dear friend, the immensely talented Dina Douglass.

A few quick updates! First, we're excited to announce that one of our models for the workshop is (drumroll, please!) former Miss India USA and current contestant for Miss California, Ayushka Singh!

I can't wait to photograph her!

Next, check out the teaser trailer our good friend Aaron Bailey made for us for The f Stops Now workshops! The footage is from the Atlanta seminar earlier this month. I think we look pretty damn good on vidya, if I do say so myself!

There are still seats available, so sign up ASAP!

Hugs & kisses, everybody, see you in La-La Land!

We're doing it again! The f Stops Now: Atlanta workshop is almost sold out (five spots left), so we figured we'd take the show on the road to the west coast.

We are so pleased to announce The f Stops Now: Los Angeles, where Krystal and I will team up with the incomparable Andrena "Dina" Douglass. Yes, that's the same Andrena who tirelessly moderates The Digital Wedding Forum. We've been fans of Dina's for years because of her amazing eye for color and detail. She's one of the only photographers as color-obsessed as we are! Oh, and we're jealous of the way she gets flown all over the world to photograph stunning Indian weddings.

Same deal's in effect. $995 for two full days of no-bull no-hype hands-on instruction and demonstration in how to take better pictures. We're not going to bore you with rehashed motivational speaker fluff. We're just going to show you how to see and create the kinds of lighting you need to make three-dimensional images, and how to process them to make the pics pop and the colors sing. Yeah, we'll talk some business, too, but the focus is better light, better color, better compositions, and better pictures.

Pop over to thefstopsnowla.com to see the full syllabus and register today. Can't wait to see you in LA!

After the sweet success of our Bent in Bend workshop in Oregon last April, Krystal, Susan Stripling and I have decided to do it again, but this time in Atlanta! I wanted to call the seminar Bent in Bend 2: Bent in Hotlanta, the Dirty South Edition (or BIBTBIHTDSE, for short), but was overruled. Instead, we proudly present The f Stops Now: Atlanta. The two-day no bull, no hype, just real-world, hands-on instruction on how to take better pictures. This seminar is all about lighting, posing, composition and post-production. Naturally we'll talk a little bit of business too, just because everybody always wants to know what you're selling and for how much. If you want to take your photography to the next level, invest $995 and spend the 6th and 7th of October with us.

There will be expert photography instruction. There will be live models and lighting demonstrations. There will be sweet swag from our sponsors. Also, punch and pie.

Thanks so much to our sponsors: BigFolio, ShootQ, and ProDPI for helping us put on this event, and we can't wait to see you all in Atlanta in October!!

We just wanted to say thank you to our hosts at the PPSNF in Jacksonville and to all the lovely attendees, we had a lovely time instructing and working with everyone.

Oh, and Curt Littlecott... we are still jealous that you got that awesome dusk skies with lightning to shoot in.... Jeaaaaalous. You owe all the rest of us instructors a karma beer.

Peace Out,
The Rads :)

There are only a few spots left for Bent in Bend!

A few weeks ago, our co-instructor Susan Stripling held a workshop in St. Petersburg and I drove down to help her with the class. Here are a few of my favorite images I made at the workshop. If you'd like to know how we made them, easiest way is to join us in Bend two weeks from now! See you then!

One of the models was the lovely Kari from Kee to Your Heart Wedding Blog

We can't thank everyone enough for making The School of Rad '08 a success!

All of the delightful students, guest speakers and gorgeous easy-going models were all just a delight. And despite some blustery beaches and chilly air the gorgeous Autumn sunlight was just a photographers dream.

We are off again for a wedding so this is just a quick peek of a few of our images, but we just can't wait to show you the incredible work our students did next week, and oh so many other details...

Look out for the student slideshow coming on Monday or Tuesday!

Cheers,
M&K

Enjoy!

The School of Rad wouldn't be possible without our wonderful sponsors, and we're so pleased to announce one more! Our favorite pro lab, Reedy Photoprocess! Check out the awesome promotional cards Chris Samuels at Reedy designed and printed for our students!

Stay tuned next week for numerous awesome photos from the SoR. We have some really kick-ass models lined up, and can't wait to share.

My friend Charo told me about this, and I had to share it with all of you! Check it out on TeeFury but if you want one, you have order it TODAY. That's the way TeeFury works...they have a t-shirt of the day, and once it's gone, it's gone forever.

I just bought one for me and one for Krystal. No, we will not be wearing them at the same time.
